2011 Derby Rules
- Minimum Bass Length 20”
- Two Bonus Prizes will
be awarded for the heaviest pickerel and bucket “O” Fish. Bucket “O”
fish will be the combined weight of perch and crappie in a 5 gallon
bucket. A total of two separate $100.00 prizes will be awarded.
- All fish shall be submitted
in a fresh pliable condition. Frozen fish will not be accepted. Fish
typically lose weight the longer they are out of the water.
- All state regulations
applying to Little Ossipee Lake shall apply for the tournament.
(Reference 2011 Ice Fishing Regulations)
- The winners will be determined
by the heaviest fish of any species common to Little Ossipee Lake
( Excluding Cusk).
- All entries shall be
caught on Little Ossipee Lake from ½ hour before sunrise until tournament
end at 3:30 p.m. the day of February 15, 2011.
- Tickets will be sold at
Gray True Value (657-3502) until Friday 2/19/11, the Lakeside Market
in Waterboro, ME (247-8440) until 9:00 am 2/20/2011 and at RT5 Boat
Launch during the day of the Derby from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- A registered contestant
may enter more than one fish into the tournament, provided the subsequent
fish are within the persons legal bag limit. (For example: the limit
on bass is one fish, so once a contestant has submitted a bass they
have killed their bag limit and may not enter another.)
- Children may enter the
adult division provided they have purchased an adult ticket and are
then only eligible for adult prizes. A child may not enter both
divisions
- Fish will be weighed at
the official weigh station near the boat launch. The designated officials
will weigh the fish and determine an exact weight. The contestant
will verify the weight and it will be final. If an entry makes the
leader board, it will be logged, tagged and placed in a secure area.
All fish submitted that do not make the leader board will be marked
and returned immediately. (Marking is to prevent weights from being
altered and re-submitted or the fish being entered in another division.)
There will be no re-weighing after contestant confirmation.
- Door prizes will be drawn
throughout the day approximately on the hour between 9:00 a.m. and
3:00 p.m. These winners need not be present to collect the prizes.
FET will contact the winner. The prizes may be picked up within two
weeks at a specified location. Any prizes not collected will be added
to the next years event or returned to the sponsor.
- Post Tournament Door Prizes
will be drawn after weigh-in is closed at 3:30 p.m. These prizes
must be collected when drawn by the winner or a person holding their
ticket. If the prize is not promptly collected, it will be re-drawn
until there is a winner.
